Our Friend. Our Brother. The Heart and Voice of The Genesis Show.
On November 29, 2025, we lost our brother and bandmate, Jeff Giuliani, after a courageous and incredibly difficult battle with cancer. There are some people whose presence becomes so much a part of your life that it is almost impossible to imagine the world without them. Jeff was one of those people.
To those of us in The Genesis Show, Jeff was a lot more than our lead singer and drummer. He was our friend, our brother, and an irreplaceable part of everything this band became. His loss left an empty space in our lives that can never truly be filled.
Jeff loved Genesis. When he first started playing drums and singing as a young kid in grade school his biggest influence was Genesis and Phil Collins. Jeff was also a gifted songwriter and his first songs he wrote as a teenager with a keyboard, drum set and an 8-Track Tascam Tape Machine sound like they could have been on a a Phil Collins solo album. He truly loved this music deeply, and performing it was never just a matter of recreating songs for him. He understood the music. He understood the emotion, mystique, humor, power in the music, and every time he walked onto a stage, he gave himself completely to it. We in the band can attest to that. He was physically and emotionally spent. He gave it everything every time he stepped onto the stage.
He was an extraordinary musician, an incredible drummer and a captivating front man. But what made Jeff truly special could never be measured simply by his talent. It was the way he connected with people. Jeff loved the fans of The Genesis Show, and he never took their support for granted. He understood that the relationship between the band and the people who came to see us was something special. Whether he was behind the drums or standing at the front of the stage, Jeff had an ability to reach across that distance and make an audience feel like they were part of what was happening. And they loved him in return. That is because what you saw was authentic. He said it at every show that if he wasn't on stage performing this material he would be out in the audience with you watching as a fan of Genesis.
Over the years, we watched Jeff touch so many hearts through his performances. We saw the smiles, heard the cheers, read the comments and messages and met people who wanted to tell him what a particular show, song or moment had meant to them. Those connections mattered enormously to Jeff.
For many people who came to see The Genesis Show, Jeff became the face and voice of the band. For those of us fortunate enough to know him personally, however, the person behind that voice meant so much more to us. We miss his musicianship. We miss his incredible sense of humor. We miss sharing the stage with him. We miss the conversations, the rehearsals, the road trips and all of the countless moments and memories that, looking back, were anything but ordinary. Most of all, we simply miss Jeff.
The Genesis Show will continue. That is what Jeff told us he wanted. At that time when he told us, we didn't want to hear it because we couldn't imagine a world without him. We did want to even consider it. But this band meant so much to him that he wanted it to continue after he was gone. This is one of his many legacies and Jeff will always be a part of it. Every stage we walk onto carries memories of the years we spent together. Every song carries moments we shared. And every audience that embraced Jeff and this band is part of this legacy he left behind. Without Jeff this project would not have happened.
We will forever be grateful for the music we made together, the audiences we shared it with, and most importantly, for the years we were lucky enough to call Jeff our friend. Thank you to everyone who loved him, supported him, cheered for him and allowed him to share something he loved so deeply with all of you.
